Explore The Languedoc

Any wine enthusiast will know about the monumental changes to the wine industry in the Languedoc over the last two decades.

The Languedoc used to produce vast amounts of cheap wine for the workers in France. This is how the wine acquired its nickname Le Gros Rouge. One third of the total vineyards in France, the equivalent of four times the total area of vineyards in Australia, stretch across the Languedoc.

The area is renowned for being the New World of French wines. From Atlantic to Mediterranean climates, from Merlot to Carignan, Chardonnay to Grenache Blanc, the Languedoc offers a large diversity and a unique combination of its tradition and evolution. This explains the mounting infatuation for the wines of this region.
